Valentine's Day Card

Oh my goodness I have a lot to talk about on this card!  I ended up using so many things that I have been hoarding like the Love My Tapes fabric tape (this stuff is AMAZING!), the TH grungeboard bird from my sweet friend Kathy (Branches on SB.com), & one of the new stamp sets from The Craft's Meow (hearts and sentiment).  ** You can click the pictures for a larger view if needed**

I started off making this card for the Simon Says Stamp presents a Chipboard Challenge over at Lily Pad Cards.  I wanted to stick with kraft, teals, and reds - one of my absolute fave color combos!  I had all kinds of cute little chipboard accents out that I painted with Picket Fence Distress Stain, and then turned out I didn't use them! grrrr!!!

and a close up shot

**I wanted to mention that the very talented Julia Stainton (Belle Papier blog) was my inspiration throughout this card, I pushed myself to just make this for fun and tried to recall all the beautiful techniques and images on her blog.. I think it really helped because I actually had FUN making this from start to finish!  Yay!  Maybe this year WILL be a better year (craft-speaking) than last ;)  Thanks for stopping in today!**

One more!

Against my better judgement, I sacrificed sleep and made just one more card for the Ellen Hutson LLC Hero Arts Wood Take and Make Challenge!  Had fun with Glossy Accents and Snow Tex, but I know I will pay for this in the morn' !!!  Take care, nighty night!

Ellen Hutson LLC Hero Arts Wood Take 'n Make

Quick post today, just uploading my card for the Ellen Hutson LLC Hero Arts Wood Take 'n Make challenge :)   Used my new Hero Arts wood stamp, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink ( I am in LOVE with this color!).  Cardstock is from Paper Trey Ink.  Anyways, thanks for stopping in and have a beautiful day!!!!!!!

New Year, New Challenges!

One of my unspoken New Year's resolutions for myself is to get back in the scraproom more often.  For the last few months, I've rarely sat in my chair or took any time for myself.  Family, illness, work.. it all got in the way.  No longer!  Not that I wont make time for the fam, of course, but I'm making time for me too :)  I've already made 3 cards this year so I'm on my way!

I made this card for the Ellen Hutson LLC Hero Arts Cling Take 'n Make challenge :)  It's by far not a fave of mine, I was basically playing with my new-to-me Hero Arts stamps & Soft Pool ink.  Oh, and those clear bauble stickers.  I don't know what to do with them LOL!  But I've wanted them for so long.. Think they look better on scrapbook pages.  Anyways, if you want to participate in the challenge, go to the above link and upload a project that uses a Hero Arts cling mounted stamp by Jan 15th!  Check out this cool prize!!!!  Thanks for stopping by my friends :)

My new love - Paper Trey Ink stamps!

Hi friends!  Just wanted to take a second to show off a card I made with some of my new Paper Trey Ink goodies!!

I've been a long time admirer of Paper Trey Ink stamps, two of my absolute favorite artists are Melissa Phillips and Betsy Veldman, both DT members with Paper Trey Ink!  So for my Christmas present, I bought myself a whole bunch of PTI goodies including the stamp set Harvest Berries that I used on this card.. Just love the floral background and the sentiment of this set.  Also used on this card is Pink Paislee's Artisan Elements stickers (the white puffy scalloped sticker), and the buttons are from the scrumptious "Farmhouse" collection by October Afternoon!  I will post many many more of my projects with these new products (well, new to me!) very soon!  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day, wherever you are :)
