Afternoon ladies! 

Here to post a quick LO I made for a couple of challenges, the first is Amy Heller's Scrap Your Scraps Summer Challenge (week 5).  Amy's work is absolutely amazing, and when she presented this idea to use up her scrap pieces of paper, I was instantly hooked!  I have two boxes full of scrap pieces that just sit and accumulate, so this is a great way to thin it out & save money (by not buying more paper that I don't need!).  And if you see the prizes she gives away, you definitely wont want to miss out! 

I've used a ton of my G45 scraps, and since this is a wedding LO (me and the hubbs), I am going to also enter the G45 Wedding LO challenge!  It's been a long time since I've made a LO, let alone one NOT of my daughter!!!!  I really had fun making this one :)  Sorry I couldn't get a closer shot - I see a lot of it is hard to see, unfortunately.

Well I hope you have a wonderful weekend, I'm off to put my little tike down for a nap and then we're headed to a festival this evening!  Hope to get some great pics to share with you :)

Hello my friends, hope you are all well and busy crafting!!  I haven't been doing too much - I've developed carpal tunnel or something strange with my fingers and wrist... So I'm trying to rest it as much as possible!  Sorry I haven't been making the comments rounds that much but I promise I'll be back in the swing of things real soon :) 

The card I'm sharing tonight is stamped with one of the Unity/Webster's Itty Bitty's - Christmas Delivery.  I won this set way back in May and it's finally landed in my hands two days ago (long story, but just glad I have it now ;) 
Used a simple technique with Distress Inks for the colored background...- wanted to link the video with Jennifer McGuire demonstrating it, but I cannot find it!!  If you go to YouTube.com and search for Jennifer McGuire Distress Inks, you'll find anything you've ever wanted to know about them!  Also used a lot of Pink Paislee's Artisan Elements.. they are so gorgeous!

Embossing Challenge

Hi peeps, just popping in to post a couple of cards I made for the embossing challenge over at Simply Scrapping Crafts :)  They have 3 or 4 challenges going on and you can pick and choose which you would like to enter.  I could only find time to get these two done for the embossing.  I'm happy with the first one and hate the second!!!!  Stupid embossing powder on the sun stuck in the wrong places and so it's sloppy looking.. But I wanted to enter two cards, and there's only one day left so this is what I'm left with!  (I promise I'll try to do better for the August challenges!!!)
First card is made with a lot of Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage products!  Just adore that company!!  The embossed part is the red Core'dinations cardstock which I embossed with my Sizzix Texture Boutique Embossing Machine.  So here it is:

And here's my embarrassing card!!!!  The sun is a beautiful stamp set call Baggin' Some Rays by The Craft's Meow.  I embossed it with white embossing powder.  Most of the paper on the card is from American Craft's new Margaritaville collection, with the exception of the bathing suits (or bathing soup's as my 4 yr old calls them!) which are from Fancy Pants Rusted Sun collection.

Well that's it for tonight!  I'm off to bed ;)  Hope to get a lot of crafting done tomorrow because the little one will be out of town at a parade with her Grandma!  Yipeee!!!!!!   .... It's just too bad I have to go to work .. cough, cough! J/K  Later :)

A couple of cards to show you!

Well hello there!  I have been sneaking in some crafty moments here and there, and have finished two cards.  Made this first one for my beautiful cousin Kim, to thank her for always giving us her daughter's gently used clothes.  She buys the most gorgeous outfits for her daughter -things I could never afford for Emily, so I'm quite grateful !

This card features Melissa Frances Kitschy Kitchen papers, Prima collage stamp, crinkled seam binding bought on Memrie Mare's Etsy, and a lucious red paper rose :)




Next up - Using up my stash of Pretty Little Studio products ;)  I kept thinking that I wanted to see how PLS papers would look against black...  I think I like it, but will be experimenting some more later :)

Pretty Little Studio Sketch Challenge #2!

Ok, so I didn't make the DT for Pretty Little Studio :(    *Sniff*  But, that's ok - I am proud of myself for trying!  Thanks for all of you that supported me and left such touching words!

Pretty Little Studio is doing a weekly sketch challenge, and I wanted to share my entry with y'all :)  Normally I would post a pic of the sketch itself, but my hubbs is in the middle of completely reformating this computer, and I'm left with bare bones!  Everything I try to do does not work.  Hopefully I can at least get this into Blogger and onto the PLS blog page!  OH!  I almost forgot - see the cloud background??? My Mind's Eye LO Challenge!

Can't believe I actually finished this one in time.. Just minutes to spare!  Anyways, same as the card challenge - sketch is provided and the theme is Song Lyrics.  I put some of the words from Carrie Underwoods song "All American Girl".  I think I cried the first I dunno, maybe 100 times I heard it !!!!!!!!!!  Love love love that song ;)  So here's the sketch :

And here's my LO, sorry for the crooked picture but I literally don't have time to fix it!  The pleated paper for the fan is again from the Be Loved collection, as well as the heart and die cut on bottom left.  Background paper is from Penny Lane collection.  The two GORGEOUS rosettes were cut by a good friend Kathy (Branches) over on SB.com.  She is such a sweetie, such a giving and caring person :)  Well, this is really it for me, have to be up in less than 4 hrs for work.. ICK!  Thanks for looking!!

My Minds Eye Blog Challenge!

Just sharing with you a card I created for the My Minds Eye Card Challenge #24 ..  I used the Be Loved collection - it's probably one of my top 5 faves from them!!  Along with the sketch, we were to use the theme: Song Lyrics.  I chose one of my very fave relax & craft songs 'The Great Escape' by Patrick Watson :)

Congratulations

Just wanted to share a couple of cards I made for Paper Craft's 2011 Gallery Idol Open Auditions.  The theme is "Congratulations" cards.  You can enter as often as you like, but only one card will be selected (if you go through to the next round).  Anyways, TFL and good luck if you enter!!!  I think it's a blast :)

I am applying for a design team! YES!!!!!!!!!!!! I've mustered up all of my courage, and am in the process of finishing up my submissions to Pretty Little Studio!!!  
I usually go back and forth in my head thinking I'm not good enough - but when I saw this post about their DT search, there was NO WAY I couldn't at least give it a shot! I absolutely adore their perfect little storybook vintage collections!!! Nothing compares IMHO ;) Check them out, you wont be disappointed!!!

I must get better at time management...

It's no wonder I have turned to cards so often now instead of layouts... This one took me a grand total of 8 days to complete!!!!!!!!!  I wasn't working on it every day, but still!  Once I start a page, I think about it constantly, trying to rearrange precious minutes in my day so I can get it finished.  Obviously, I don't do it so well.. I need some help with managing my time!!!  If anyone has some clever tips, I would be happy to hear them!  Actually, my new favorite site - Lily Pad Cards - just posted a huge list of time-saving tidbits recently.  But have I actually done them?  Of course not! Sheesh..

And here it is, my 8 day LO - I loved the sketch from Becky the second I saw it.  Hmmm...what was I thinking???
Pictures are of my baby girl on her first real photo shoot back in August of last year.  She had a blast, as you can probably tell from her smiling face and dancing feet ;)

My next project?? 

CARDS!!!!! Any card, but taking another small break from LO's until I get my act together!!!!!  Have a good one!

A Long & Relaxing Weekend...

Spending a 3 day weekend up north at Grandpa's House!  Sure is beautiful here..

Hard to believe she's growing up so fast... 4 years old, (and going on 16 some days!)



Perfect inspiration and so relaxing to wake up to this every morning~ Good thing I brought my scrappy supplies!

Howdy scrappy peeps!  Are you all enjoying this beautiful weather???!!!  I certainly am glad the rain has finally stopped here in Michigan.. sheesh.  Was about ready to build an ARK!  It was seriously getting ridiculous.  Sorry I have no crafty projects today, although I will be finishing up a LO and a couple of cards for a Page Maps's My Little Shoebox Contest tonight.  Well, I'm praying that I finish tonight... The deadline is June 12th and I have a busy couple of weeks coming up!!!!!!  LOL.. Someday I will really have to crack down and work on my time management skills ;)
